What this means if you value data control

Cloud tools naturally add more third parties as they scale - databases, compute providers, and ad platforms.

While these changes are fairly standard in the industry, they highlight how cloud-based analytics tools typically expand their network of external vendors and data-sharing practices over time.

Alternatives?

To avoid all third-party sharing and vendor lock-in, I've built my own analytics platformm over the last 13 years.

UXWizz is fully self-hosted on your own PHP + MySQL server.

Result:
Simpler GDPR compliance, zero third-party data risk, and straightforward one-time licensing with no surprise vendor lists.

If you want heatmaps, session replays, event tracking, funnels, A/B testing and more - without the expanding cloud footprint - UXWizz keeps it simple and private.

👉 Try UXWizz self-hosted - one-click install, lifetime license.
