Universal Analytics ended. What should you use next?

Google stopped processing new data for standard Universal Analytics properties in July 2023. Google Analytics 4 is the direct replacement, but the change also gives teams a reason to review what they need from analytics.

Start with the decisions you need to make

A useful analytics setup should answer a small set of practical questions:

GA4 can answer many acquisition and event questions. Other products may fit better when you need self-hosted data, heatmaps, session recordings, or a simpler operating model.

When UXWizz fits

UXWizz combines stats, heatmaps, session recordings, goals, events, error tracking, and Ask AI. It runs on your own server, so you choose the infrastructure, database, access, backups, and retention policy.

Self-hosting also means your team operates the server. That tradeoff is useful when infrastructure control matters and less useful when you want a fully managed analytics service.

Test before switching

Run the old and new setups together long enough to compare event coverage, campaign attribution, reports, page performance, and maintenance. Keep only the data you need and document the new measurement rules.

You can install the UXWizz trial without an email address or credit card.
